He represented me in the sale of two houses; one that was sold in three days during the housing boom in 2003, and one that was sold in a week in the very challenging market that existed in November 2010. The first house he sold for me was an old house that required a lot of work. However, this did not dissuade Mr. Harris from "looking outside of the box" and considering options other than conventional marketing of a house for sale to the public. With his extensive contacts, Mr. Harris was able to locate a builder willing to buy the house, and in just three days, and at full asking price. This exceptional experience with Mr. Harris led me to ask him to represent me again in the sale of another house. As I was preparing to retire in February 2011, I needed to sell my house. Upon contacting Mr. Harris, he came and looked over my property. Understanding that the housing market was extremely competitive, Mr. Harris, at his own expense, paid for a stager to come evaluate the house and make recommendations for things to be done to put my house ahead of the rest of the competition. I'll never forget what Mr. Harris told me after I had compiled the list he and the stager gave me of things to do to sell my house. He said, "I can't prove it now, but if you do these things, your house will sell." Having no reason to doubt him, I did everything necessary, and those things that I couldn't do myself, Mr. Harris assisted me in locating a contractor that did excellent work at an extremely fair price. When all the work was done and the house was ready to sell, Mr. Harris made sure the house was marketed correctly and extensively, (internet, mailings, open house, etc.) Bottom line...I had my first offer on the house four days after it was put on the market, and had a contract one week after putting it on the market. As a side note, I should mention that the house right next door, (a brick ranch just like mine), had been completely re-modeled and was on the market three weeks prior to my house going up for sale. When my house sold, Mr. Harris told me, that my neighbor would have to now sell his house for less that what my house sold for. He was right...it ended up selling nearly two months later for about $10,000.00 less than mine. Finally, because Mr. Harris is in an elite group of agents, he was able to locate an agent for me in New England, where I purchased my retirement home. Again, Mr. Harris is a consummate professional with unquestionable integrity. He knows his business inside out, and then some!!
